Sharp’s device types enable SAP users to access the full functionality of their Sharp MFPs and printers from one of the world's leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Sharp, a gold-level member of the SAP Printer Vendor program, works closely with engineers at SAP to develop approved device types that are compatible with SAP R/3® systems and provide SAP users with superior-quality printing solutions. SAP's easy-to-use interface and Sharp’s device types allow users to create professional looking documents and print them with greater finishing and output control. Sharp’s device types provide access to print features such as input and output tray selection, duplex printing, page binding selection, color printing, and user number insertion.
Enhanced features including stapling, saddle stitching, hole punching, and job handling functions such as PIN printing require customization of the device type, a process that can be easily accomplished by a company's SAP support engineer. Sharp's technical support personnel are also available to assist. Sharp's device types are designed for SAP R/3 4.5B or later.
Sharp's device types are available to SAP system owners and administrators by logging into the SAP Service Marketplace at http://service.sap.com/support. In addition, SAP Notes provide detailed descriptions and operating parameters of the latest and legacy Sharp device types as well as the TypeHaus BarCodeJet product. (SAP Notes are available from the SAP Service Marketplace.)
